Sounds in the NightA muffled thump jolted her from her restless sleep. She sighed and picked up her iPod from where it lay. She frowned down at it; it was no longer playing. Grumbling, she tried to find something else to listen to when her ears picked up hushed whispers coming from down the hall.
She rolled her eyes at the attempts at silence and turned her attention back to her iPod. She picked and album and snuggled back into her blankets. The music pounded into her ears in time to the banging on a nearby wall. Wait… Banging? What on earth could her mum be doing? She stubbornly ignored the banging for a minute or so, but after that, she gave Sounds in the Night
